What are some factors that influence different consumer buying decisions? 

I do not think this can be identified. Too many reasons that no one will ever know. This is why I see marketing and poetry and stories are so powerful. Each of us takes what we want.

Is it as important to choose customers not to attract as those customers to attract?
In many cases yes.

How many seconds will it take in order to gain interest for a prospect buyer to continue to read your message?
